About Boogie Tots
So much more than just dancing
Boogie Tots is a fun, energetic dance experience for children and their families.
Born from a background in holiday park entertainment, our sessions bring children and grown-ups together through party dances, action songs, games, props and imagination.
We love to bring that mini-disco vibe, encouraging children to build their confidence, express themselves freely and enjoy joyful shared experiences in a welcoming environment where everyone wants to join in.
We deliver Boogie Tots in community classes, nurseries, schools, birthday parties, seasonal activities and special events, always bringing the energy, enthusiasm and fun wherever we go.
It’s so much more than just dancing. We bring families together, create lasting memories and make a positive impact in the community.
It all started with one little boy who loved to dance
Boogie Tots started in 2008 when founder Sammie Searle was looking for something to do with her young son, who loved music and dancing.
With a background in holiday park entertainment, Sammie wanted something that felt less like a traditional dance class and more like the mini discos she knew and loved, somewhere children could dance, have fun, be themselves and where the grown-ups were encouraged to join in too.
When she couldn’t find it, she created it.
What started as a small local class quickly became part of the community, growing into schools and nurseries and becoming known for its big Halloween and Christmas events too.
More than 17 years later, Boogie Tots is still built around the same thing: creating fun experiences that children and their grown-ups genuinely want to be part of.
The Boogie Tots Way
We’re not interested in perfect dancing.
Children don’t need to learn a routine perfectly or copy every move. We want them to build confidence, use their imagination and have the freedom to express themselves.
We do this by asking the children for their favourite songs and actively including their ideas, song choices and dance moves in our classes.
Our grown-ups are part of the experience too. We don’t expect them to sit at the side and watch. Whether we’re in a community class, nursery or school, we encourage everyone in the room to get involved.
Our unique mash-ups help the grown-ups do this too, as they quickly realise the classes are just as enjoyable for them as they are for their children.
Our sessions are fun, exciting, engaging and enthusiastic, but they’re also welcoming and inclusive. We want people to walk into a Boogie Tots session and feel that they can be completely themselves.
Because when everyone joins in, that’s when the best memories are made.
Building confidence through fun
Of course, the children think they’re just having a brilliant time dancing.
But while they’re doing it, they’re building confidence, coordination, social skills, listening skills, concentration and self-expression.
Boogie Tots gives children opportunities to make choices, use their imagination and discover that there isn’t always a right or wrong way to dance.
Bringing Boogie Tots to more communities
Today, Boogie Tots works with families, schools and nurseries, bringing our unique mix of dance, entertainment and imagination to children in a variety of settings.
And we’re ready for the next chapter.
Through the Boogie Tots franchise, we’re looking for the right people to bring that same fun, energy and joy to more communities across the UK.
We’re not necessarily looking for professional dancers. We’re looking for people with personality. People who love working with children, aren’t afraid to be silly, can walk into a room and make a difference, and want to build something of their own.
Because a great Boogie Tots business owner doesn’t just run dance classes.
They become part of their community, create memories and become someone children are genuinely excited to see.
