I think it’s helpful to share what running a Boogie Tots business actually looks like week to week, as it’s something people often wonder about.
In my own territory, I currently work with around 14 schools and nurseries each week and have three instructors working alongside me. This allows me to keep my Mondays free and generally only work around seven hours a week running classes myself. I always host my community classes and I’m still able to drop off and pick up my daughter from school most days.
I’ve been running my area for over 16 years, which is why it’s so well established now.
Nina’s journey looks a little different.
Nina is around a year and a half into running her Boogie Tots franchise. She currently works with four schools and nurseries and runs four community classes each week. She’s just starting to look at bringing an instructor on board to help with classes as the business grows. Like me, she’s always able to drop her children off at school and pick them up again, and she’s chosen not to run classes on a Monday either.
What I’ve learned over the years is that the real gold in this business is when you work on it, not just in it.
I like to use Mondays for admin, sending newsletters, reminding our community when classes are on, and approaching schools and nurseries about working together. This behind-the-scenes work is what helps the business grow steadily and sustainably.
I very rarely work past 5pm unless I want to. Sometimes I get pulled into creating social media content or sharing photos and videos from classes, but even that is supported. At head office, we provide franchisees with lots of ready-to-use content, which makes things much easier.
Running a Boogie Tots franchise isn’t about being busy all the time. It’s about building a business that fits around your life, with support, systems and flexibility in place.
If you’re curious about whether this kind of working week could work for you, you’re always welcome to get in touch and talk it through.
